We have had a wonderful month in the Wallaby room as we have explored our next book of the month. We have loved reading the book “When I grow up’ as we discussed all of the different jobs and activities we would like to do when we grow up. We also measured ourselves to see how tall we are and spoke about all the things we need to do such as eating our vegetables to help us grow big and strong. We also had the doctors set out as we spoke about occupations. We enjoyed taking on the different roles of identity as we engaged in enjoyable interactions together. I wonder which book we will be explore next month?
The Wallabies have shown a keen interest in cooking at the moment as we made delicious cookies for our families for Valentines day. We also created beautiful cards to let our families know how much we love them. We have spoken with Miss Tammy our Chef and asked if we would be able to help with some of the afternoon tea meals. We look forward to helping and working together to make our food.
The Alphabet book has been visiting several of our Wallaby friends’ houses at the moment as we explore the letters of the alphabet. We have seen our friend’s confidence as they share their thoughts and ideas with their friends as they recognise their individual achievements.
