Wow, it’s February already!!
This month has gone so fast and we have been super busy. Routines and rituals have been fine tuned to accommodate the natural rhythm of the children’s day and they appear a lot happier to arrive and settle into their environment quickly. A few Echidna’s have transitioned into the Lorikeets and it’s been lovely to see them playing and engaging with their new friends.
During the first half of the month we focussed on Valentines gifts; we hope you liked the cards the children made for you. We have been encouraging good manners, particularly during meal times when the children ask for “more” and this is progressing well. The interests in the Echidna room are currently vehicles, animal sounds, balls and pipes, stacking cups for building towers, dress ups (hats) and babies,
A few reminders:
- If you have any interests that are happening in your home life, please share them with us and we will incorporate them into our program.
- Please take home your child’s drink and milk bottles at the end of each week to give them a thorough wash and sterilize them. Hopefully, this will help to reduce the risk of any illnesses being spread through the centre. If it helps, we can put these in your child’s bag for you on their last day of the week– let us know.
The Echidna Team.
