We have been busy little bees this month.
We did some renovations to our gardens. Amber helped us create a fun little play garden where the Lorikeet’s can explore and use their imagination as they play with the dirt and sand. We have had lots of fun playing with the bugs and digging with the spades. We would hide the bugs under the wood and then dig them up to find them.
The Lorikeet’s have also shown a lot of interest in cars and trucks this month. Leanne made the Lorikeet’s a fun grass and road small world table. The Lorikeet’s use this table every day, they all really enjoy diving the cars around the road and up and down the car park. We then extended on this by doing a car wash where the Lorikeet’s got to use soapy water and clothes to wash the large cars outside, this was a very popular activity.
We also celebrated Valentines day by making our families some cards. We used our creativity as we stamped the potatoes in the paint and onto the paper. We also enjoyed exploring our senses as we played with the pink and red sensory box that was filled with rice.
One of the highlights for this month was a visit from the reptile man. The Lorikeets got to learn about different reptiles and sing along to some fun songs. We also got to touch some lizards, snakes and even a crocodile.
