It has a great start to the year in the Echidna room. We have loved welcoming back the familiar faces and getting to know the new ones. We have loved hearing all about your wonderful and relaxing holiday time.
This month, we have been focussing on establishing relationships with our new children and extending our existing relationships from last year. Positive interactions provide a rich social world for children to make sense of and gives opportunities for them to learn by trying out their ideas with adults and other children. We, educators, provide encouragement, warmth and acceptance so they feel safe.
As the weather has been so warm, we have been playing outside in the water a lot. The children’s favourite activity is waving their arms up and down in the water trough to make lots of splashes and more recently, painting on the chalkboard with water.
We are looking forward to a fun filled February!
